The Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) has already proclaimed the examination schedule for the April 2026 examination sitting.

The exams will be conducted in a span of four days, and this will give the candidates in the country and even outside enough time to prepare.

On Tuesday, January 13, KASNEB announced to students, parents, guardians, sponsors, training institutions, employers, and other stakeholders of the event that the examinations would take place between Monday, April 20, 2026, and Thursday, April 23, 2026.

The tests will be a myriad of professional, diploma, certificate, and other vocational certificates that are given by the board. KASNEB indicates that a number of certificate and diploma level programmes will be assessed in the April 2026 sitting.
They are Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills, Accounting Technicians Diploma, Diploma in Data Management and Analytics, and Diploma in Computer Networks and Systems Administration.
The other diploma programmes that will be put under testing are the Diploma in Quality Management, which is an indication on the case of the board to provide learners with skills that are relevant in the constantly changing job market.
At the professional level, the candidates will take the tests in flagship courses, which would be Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and Certified Public Accountants in Public Finance (CPAPF).

It also has examinations on Certified Credit Professionals (CCP), Certified Investment and Financial Analyst, Certified Public Finance Manager, and Certified Forensic Fraud Examiner, among others. The qualifications are essential in enhancing professionalism and ethics in the financial and governance arena in Kenya.
Besides this, the April 2026 examinations will also include specialised professional papers, including the Certified Procurement and Supply Professional of Kenya (CPSP-K), Associate in Procurement and Supply of Kenya (APS-K), Certified Quality Professional (CQP), and practical papers, like Business Data Analytics Practical Paper and Financial Modelling and Data Analytics Practice Paper.

Vocational and technical qualifications are also incorporated in the examination calendar by KASNEB.

These are Vocational Certificate in Supply and Vocational Certificate in Information Communication Technology (ICT) that will aim at increasing employability and practical skills in learners.

Candidates who are taking international qualifications will take the Foreign Accountancy Qualifications (FAQ) exams on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, and Thursday, April 23, 2026. This clause enables the owners of foreign qualifications to harmonize their qualifications with the domestic professional standards.
The board has encouraged all the candidates to prepare well and in time before the exams. This involves requesting the employers, where needed, to give them permission or leave so that they could participate in the examination period without interruption.

KASNEB pointed out that planning in advance is also necessary to prevent situations when the candidates have to face problems at the last moment, and their performance may be affected.

KASNEB has fixed Friday, March 20, 2026, as the date of registration and entry of examination of the April 2026 sitting. It is highly advised that candidates should make sure that their registration is done before this date, lest there is a delay or technical challenges that can occur towards the end of the deadline. KASNEB has also ensured that the brochure containing its qualifications is made available on its official site, www.kasneb.or.ke, where candidates can download it.
Brochures are also available in KASNEB offices and resource centres in Utalii Centre in Nairobi, and in Kisumu, Kisa, Eldoret, Nyeri, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kitale, Kakamega, Meru, and Thika. Also, the brochure will be available at the branches of the Kenya National Library Service nationwide and at approved training institutions that provide KASNEB courses. Concerning the payment of examination fees, KASNEB has provided two acceptable means of payment.
The student portal offers local students the ability to make payments by using the KASNEB site, with a detailed guide on the payment.

Foreign-based applicants will be expected to pay the fees using the KCB Dollar Account Number 1123096465.

The board has warned the candidates against cash payments, saying that no payment is to be made by the staff or their agents. KASNEB also reminded continuing students that they have to renew their registration by July 1 of every year. The new students must renew their registration before July 1 after their first successful examination sitting to their respective programmes.
